Baroque Night: Sigiswald Kuijken Conducts Lully & Rameau

Sigiswald Kuijken conducts works by French Baroque composers for his first concert together with the Budapest Festival Orchestra's Baroque ensemble.

While Lully’s suite opens the concert, the program concludes with a suite composed by another giant of French Baroque music, Rameau. Between the two suites, pieces by Jean‐Féry Rebel, a pupil of Lully, and by Louis‐Nicolas Clérambault, the creator of the "French cantata", will offer a taste of Baroque music with a French accent.
