Palazzo Verità Poeta
Verona, Italy
Palazzo Verità Poeta represents the most beautiful example of the venetian architecture. The dwelling, today own by Bevilacqua Count, got its name from the noble family Verità Poeta. By the middle of the XVIII century the palace was built and decorated by some of the finest Italian artists of the time. The best known is Antonio Galli Bibiena (1697‐1774), a famous architect who built theatres all over Europe. Filippo Maccari, Francesco Lorenzi and Lorenzo Pavia are among the artists who took part in the work and are all portrayed over the doors of the main hall. The marvellous private garden is a noiseless oasis in the heart of the city.
