The New Residence in the center of Salzburg is located at the Mozartplatz and was used as the archbishop's residency. Today it is the home of the Salzburg Museum (winner of the European Museum Prize 2009 and the Austrian Museum Prize 2007) and the popular and historic Salzburg Glockenspiel (chimes).
