Mozart Classics: Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
Sobre o Evento
An essential concert of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for Mozart lovers, boasting two of his most scintillating masterpieces: His 40th Symphony and his Requiem.
Mozart’s ‘Great’ G minor Symphony, No.40, was his penultimate work in the genre, written when the composer was at the peak of his powers. After its unmistakeable opening bars, full of intrigue and mystery, the Symphony unfolds into music ranging from elegant lyricism to profound drama. Despite the fact that not all of Mozart’s Requiem was completed by Mozart himself, the sheer brilliance of the music makes this one of his most powerful and enduring works.
As one of the world's foremost ensembles, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra continues to delight audiences with its performances of classical masterpieces. The orchestra will be joined by a host of oustanding artists all of whom are renowned for their destinctive interpretations of classical music.
