Carmen: Oslo Opera House
Sobre o Evento
Bizet's 'Carmen' tells the story of a woman who longs for freedom above all else. Director Calixto Bieito's brilliant iconoclastic rendering of the opera is set in post‐Franco Spain.
In his production, Bieito reduces Bizet's masterwork to what he sees as the essence: A story of people living at the margins of society. This widely acclaimed staging still retains the characteristics which have always fascinated audiences of 'Carmen'.
