The 2013 series kicks off with one of the most successful songwriting teams in Broadway history, composer Richard Rodgers (1902‐1979) and lyricist Lorenz Hart (1895‐1943) collaborated for many years and wrote the musicals On Your Toes and Pal Joey.

The concert features a mini‐version of their 1937 classic hijinks musical Babes in Arms, which includes the songs “My Funny Valentine” and “The Lady Is a Tramp.”
