指揮者でありトランペット奏者でもあるマルコ・ピエロボンがトスカーナ管弦楽団を率いて、ガーシュウィンからバーンスタインまでの音楽の旅をお届けする。ボルツァーノで生まれたマルコ・ピエロボンは、音楽院卒業後世界中を旅し、様々なオーケストラのポジションを得た後、指導と室内楽に専念した。ジャズから本格的なクラシック・コンサートまで、彼の多彩な音楽的センスは、ゴマランブラスやピアノ・ソロ・デュオなど、さまざまなアンサンブルの編曲や演奏に反映されている。ORTでのマルコ・ピエロボンのデビューは、ガーシュウィンからバーンスタイン、アンドリュー・ロイド・ウェバー、ジョン・カンダーに至るニューヨークの音楽の変遷を聴衆に案内し、クラシック演奏家としての彼のユニークなビジョンを示すものである。

Founded in 1980, ORT was established under the tutelage of the Tuscan Regional Government, the Municipal Government of Florence, and the Provincial Administrations of Florence. While under the artistic direction of Luciano Berio, ORT was given national recognition for excellence by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
Inside the historic Teatro Verdi in the heart of Florence, the Orchestra is composed of 45 musicians, divided into accomplished chamber groups: I Solisti dell’ORT, OrtEnsemble, Harmoniemusik — I Fiati dell’ORT. ORT's performances are broadcast nationally by RAI‐Radiotre Suite and in Tuscany by Rete Toscana Classica.
