Eugene Onegin is an opera in three acts with libretto by the composer and Konstantin Shilovski, based on the novel in verse by Aleksandr Pushkin (1831). It premiered at the Moscow Conservatory on March the 29th,1879 and at the Theatre Bolshoi on January 23th, 1881.
The Bolshoi Theatre's extraordinary performances open the season in Madrid.
