Le Deutsche Oper Berlin présente 'Lucia di Lammermoor' de Gaetano Donizetti dans une production de Filippo Sanjust.
'Lucia di Lammermoor' se déroule en Écosse pendant les violentes guerres de clans. Dans cette société dominée par les hommes, les sœurs et les filles sont utilisées comme des pions pour conclure des alliances militaires. Le même sort attend Lucia, qui cherche un refuge au milieu de la folie. Elle s'est déjà promise en amour et en mariage à Edgardo, l'ennemi mortel de son frère Enrico. Enrico veut voir sa sœur mariée à Arturo, le puissant allié de la famille. La mise en scène et les costumes de Filippo Sanjust sont un hommage aux traditions de la scénographie romantique.
En italien avec surtitres en allemand et en anglais.

Deutsche Oper Berlin
Deutsche Oper Berlin is the biggest opera house in the German capital, and a member of the Berlin Opera Foundation established in the early 1900s. The original building was destroyed during the Second World War, but was eventually replaced, and the new theater opened in 1961 - six weeks after construction began on the Berlin Wall. Serving West Berlin, its sober, linear design avoids anything that might distract vistiors from the performance. The repertoire of the theater focuses on the great classics such as Mozart, Verdi and Strauss, but frequently presents contemporary opera as well. The Chorus of the Deutsche Oper has been named 'Chorus of the Year' many times for its outstanding performances.
