Waltz Dreams at the Dresdner Zwinger
Dresden, Dresdner Zwinger — Wallpavillon
About the Event
With their 'Walzerträume' (waltz dreams), the Dresdner Residenz Orchester offers a program of uplifting music by Johann Strauss.
The Dresdner Residenz Orchester enchants its audiences with light classical music at the peak of perfection. Now, for the first time, the young ensemble can be heard in Dresden with its concert series 'Waltz Dreams'.
In the beautiful atmosphere of the Zwinger's Wallpavillon, you will enjoy well‐known waltzes and polkas by Johann Strauss and the most beautiful arias of the operetta repertory.
Practical Information
Wallpavillon
The concert hall in the Wall Pavilion is located on the upper level of the Dresden Zwinger opposite the Glockenspiel Pavilion. One path leads up from the inner courtyard of the Zwinger via curved steps. The second path leads from Theaterplatz over a small rampart — located to the right of the Alte Meister restaurant / Theaterplatz 1a and opposite the left side of the Semperoper Dresden — to the upper level. This access is barrier‐free, but only as far as the auditorium. There are three sandstone steps to climb. On concert days, signs will guide you to us. Due to the historical construction, the toilets and the hall are unfortunately not barrier‐free but only accessible via steps.
Program
- Johann Strauss – Waltzes and Polkas
