Voces8 & Music of the Renaissance at Church of St. Simon and St. Jude
Prague, Church of St. Simon and Jude (Kostel sv. Šimona a Judy) — Main concert hall
About the Event
The joy of singing. The joy of sharing music. Music as a source of inspiration. These are the main visions of Voces8, a British vocal choir that seeks to convey music not only through excellence in performance, but also to convey singing as an art form that can be experienced first‐hand. The evening will be a celebration of the diversity of forms of musical expression, a celebration of vocal freedom, harmonic richness and expressiveness of music, as well as an exciting trip back to the Renaissance. Together, we will follow in the footsteps of the most prolific and influential European composers of this time, who more than ever before began to understand music as a means of self‐expression, as a form of intimate communication with the world around them.
The concert is under the patronage of H.E. Matt Field, British Ambassador to the Czech Republic.
