St. Martin in the Wall Church

Saint Martin in the Wall is a medieval church in Prague's Old Town with foundations dating back to the 12th Century. Originally in the Romanesque style, the church stood in the village of Ujezd of St. Martin, adjacent to the city. When the Old Town wall was constucted in the 13th Century the village was divided in two, with the church's southern wall connected to the new city wall, giving the church its unique name.

In the 15th century the church was rebuilt in the Gothic style, an appearance it retains today. Now a well‐loved venue for classical concerts, its central location and good acoustics add further appeal to Saint Martin's serene atmosphere.
