Wiener Rathauskeller
Vienna, Austria
In the heart of the city, the Rathauskeller is located at the 'Ringstraße' avenue in the basement of the famous Vienna City Hall. Since its completion in 1883, Vienna's City Hall, or Rathaus, has been the headquarters of the city and provincial government. Architect Friedrich Schmidt designed the basement vault as a place for 'food and drink'. The recently renovated halls and parlours of the Wiener Rathauskeller offer a unique atmosphere, where the tradition of high‐quality Viennese hospitality is continued with pride.
