Truls Mørk & Dvořák at Municipal House
Prague, Municipal House (Obecní dum) — Smetana Hall
About the Event
While in February 2024 Maestro Ion Marin touched Antonín Dvořák's work only fleetingly — through Dvořák's orchestration of the Hungarian Dances, a year later it will be a different story. A major work will be on the shelves: Dvořák's Cello Concerto in B minor. And where there is an Opus 104, there must be a top cellist. Such as Grammy Award‐winning Norwegian legend Truls Mørk, a pupil of Mstislav Rostropovich. Also, the second half of the evening will belong to a single composer, the 2025 jubilarian Maurice Ravel and his dancing Spain, or from Alborada to Bolero.
Program
- Antonín Dvořák – Cello Concerto in B minor, op. 104
- Maurice Ravel – Alborada del Gracioso
