Thomas Quasthoff at Festspielhaus Baden‐Baden
About the Event
Thomas Quasthoff, an influential song interpreter, has expanded his musical repertoire to include jazz. While he remains active in the classical music sphere as a singing professor and the founder of the renowned 'Das Lied' competition, jazz now dominates his time on stage. In 2019, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, Quasthoff delighted us with a captivating performance alongside fellow German jazz musicians. Today, as we celebrate his 65th birthday, we give the floor to the master himself. In his own words, he states, "The sole reason why I sing jazz is because I derive immense pleasure from it. No further justification is needed."
