The Three Tenors: Cattedrale dell'Immagine
Florence, Auditorium di Santo Stefano al Ponte Vecchio — Main Hall
About the Event
Add a taste of italian opera to your stay in Florence: A show with opera arias and famous traditional neapolitan songs inside the imposing Cattedrale dell’Immagine (Auditorium Santo Stefano al Ponte Vecchio), located a few steps from Piazza della Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio, in the heart of the beautiful capital of Tuscany.
Inspired by the very famous show 'The Three Tenors' by Luciano Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo and José Carreras, this unforgettable concert — with opera arias based on 'La Traviata', 'Rigoletto' and 'Tosca' alternating with neapolitan songs such as 'O’ sole mio', 'Funiculì Funiculà' and 'Torna a Surriento' – will leave the wonderful memory of your trip to Florence indelible!
The tenors' performance is enriched by a chamber ensemble made up of piano, double bass and mandolin, all accompanied by magical choreographies performed by two dancers.

Auditorium di Santo Stefano al Ponte Vecchio
The Auditorium of Santo Stefano al Ponte Vecchio is located in the heart of Florence, right next to the famous Ponte Vecchio. Now used as a concert venue, the church dates to 1116, and is considered one of the oldest churches in the city. A mixture of architectural styles ranging from Romanesque to Gothic and Baroque combine to create a unique stage for cultural and musical performances. Decorated with numerous exceptional works of art, the Rennaissance-era crucifix and the medieval style crypt are also notable. Despite extensive damage during the Second World War and the 1996 flood, many of the artworks were rescued and kept in very good condition. During a recent restoration (1993), a 15th century fresco from the school of Botticelli school was discovered. Reopened as a venue for cultural and musical activities, Santo Stefano al Ponte Vecchio is now a key part of artistic life in Florence thanks to its beautifully decorated interior and perfect acoustics.

The performers were lovely, the atmosphere relaxed and intimate. If I can offer a suggestion — the venue has lovely potential, but the furniture messily placed around the "stage" detracts from the atmosphere. We still thoroughly enjoyed the evening and highly recommend the experience.

We had a really enjoyable evening with ‘The Three Tenors’ Even if you’re not an opera expert you’re in for a treat and we would thoroughly recommend. The pianist, cellist and mandolin accompaniment were excellent, as were the two young dancers. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you.

First time watching opera and really enjoyed the whole experience. Very warm in the venue so fans are needed. Hasn’t got many songs I knew so it’s more for those who listen/know their opera. Still enjoyed it.

It was an enjoyable evening; Incredible acoustics from our spot in Row 5; Charming entertainers. Beautiful voices, entertaining choice of music, a great exposure to traditional Italian music — both classical and popular selections. The venue was perfect for the music in the beautiful San Stefano Church.
