The Four Seasons — Antonio Vivaldi
Krakow, Grand Hotel in Krakow
About the Event
Antonio Vivaldi's famous ‘Four Seasons’ is a cycle of 4 violin concertos, corresponding in turn to the following seasons — spring, summer, autumn, winter. Their popularity is due to the perfect representation of the weather phenomena in the musical part, occurring in a given season. The chirping of birds in Spring, the thunder of thunderstorms in Summer, the melancholy and beautiful colours in Autumn or the creaking frost in Winter are just a few of the unique musical phenomena that can be heard during the performance of the cycle.
Vivaldi's enchanting music will resound in the unique interiors of beautiful Polish palaces and concert halls, whose acoustics will perfectly emphasise the sound of the violin and provide an unforgettable experience.
Practical Information
The concert will be performed by Mariusz Morys, winner of the Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition, together with a string quartet.
