Teatro Filarmonico di Verona: Mozart Grande Messa
Verona, Teatro Filarmonico — main
About the Event
The 2025 Symphonic Season of Fondazione Arena commences with an illustrious concert honoring Mozart, aligning with the 'Mozart in Verona' Festival enlivening the city each January.
The event's curtain‐raiser is Michael Haydn's Symphony No. 39, initially showcased at the Verona Philharmonic. This piece brilliantly conveys the classical style and notably influenced the young Mozart. Following this, the Fondazione Arena's Orchestra and Chorus, joined by four promising soloists, present Mozart’s monumental Mass in C minor K 427. This sacred work, like his Requiem, remains unfinished yet mesmerizing in its beauty. Maestro Enrico Onofri, celebrated for his prowess in Baroque and Classical music, returns to lead this powerful performance.
