The Venetian church Santa Maria della Pietà, built from 1745 to 1760, also known as the Vivaldi Church, is famous for its ties with the renowned Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi, who served as music director at the Ospedale della Pietà from 1703 to 1715. Located on the island of La Giudecca, the church is known for its interior with ornate decorations, a large altarpiece by Giambattista Tiepolo and the organ that Vivaldi himself played during his time as music director.
