Romantic Cello works with Benedict Kloeckner

Watch out for a rising star at the Concertgebouw.

Two of the three most romantic works for cello – Schumann's concerto and Tchaikovsky's "Rococo variations" – are paired with the brother of the third: instead of Dvořák's cello concerto, the Amsterdam Chamber Orchestra substitute his Serenade for strings.

Young cellist Benedict Kloeckner takes the solo role in the two concerto works, certainly someone to keep an eye on.
