About the Event

Nothing inspires Olivier Messiaen more than birds and their song. He passionately documented birdsong from across the world, in the end producing a list of over 700 different varieties. In this concert, Pierre‐Laurent Aimard dedicates himself to a fascinating "birdsong played on keys". This is an exclusive chance to hear this monumental project in its entirety!

French composer Bernard Fort has in addition created a new piece of electronic music in the form of thirteen preludes using original birdsong recordings.
