SALA DANTE OF PALAZZO POLI
Nestled within the storied Palazzo Poli, which supports the iconic Trevi Fountain, the illustrious Sala Dante exudes splendor and exclusivity. Constructed in the 1720s to safeguard the esteemed library collection of the Duke of Poli, it has also served as a majestic banquet hall. Officially opened on February 26, 1866, with Franz Liszt’s “Dante Symphony”—with Liszt himself in attendance—the hall soon became a beacon of musical culture, frequented by luminaries such as Gabriele D'Annunzio, Jules Massenet, Pietro Mascagni, Giacomo Puccini, and Giuseppe Martucci.
