Onéguine: Paris Opera Ballet
Paris, Palais Garnier
About the Event
Experience incisively written and profoundly theatrical ballet at Palais Garnier: The Paris Opera Ballet performs John Cranko's Onéguine, one of the key ballets of the repertoire.
Inspired by Alexander Pushkin's verse‐novel, Cranko has streamlined the story and focused the intrigue on the feelings and relationships of the four principal characters. Unfinished loves, duels and regrets punctuate the tragic tale of Onegin – a disillusioned dandy who is the architect of his own misery. The elegant sets and costumes by Jürgen Rose recreate the 19th century splendor of the Russian aristocracy.

初めてのバレー鑑賞をオペラ座で出来たことだけで感激でした。オーネギンはストーリーが分かりやすく、対照的な姉妹のバレーがとても良かったです。席も真ん中よりで、満足でした。
