Musical theater piece KOORLOG: Haarlem vocal studio
Amsterdam, De Waalse Kerk
About the Event
Theo is dead. The striking conductor Theo Bonenkamp made it far with Ons Koor. But during the finale of Mahler's Second he succumbed. Edna, young and ambitious, takes over. Carla and Marjan, the apple of Theo's eye, did not like her approach. Disagreements arise about their singing abilities, about their close relationship with Theo, about who has the upper hand… When the whole choir starts interfering and when even Theo's ghost appears, chaos is complete. This becomes War.
Singing is good for your well‐being a choir strengthens your sense of harmony and fraternizes. War exposes the dark side of the mini society that a choir can be. Piquant gossip, forbidden relationships, diva fights, power struggles and transgressive behavior define the atmosphere. KOORLOG: a must for anyone who cares about singing in a choir.
