About the Event
UMAMI GROUP presents a diverse musical ensemble featuring violin, guitar, percussion, flutes, and Andean instruments. Guest star LAUTARO ACOSTA on the violin adds a unique element to the performance.
Like all indigenous cultures of the 'New World,' the people of the Andean Cordillera began making and playing instruments to harmonize human energies with the mysterious forces of nature. The program showcases traditional folk songs from Argentina, Peru, and Colombia that are inspired by the earth, moon, and sky.
