About the Event

After Zuzana Ferjenčíková, we welcome another organist from the Tatra Mountains, namely Monika Melcová from Spišská Nová Ves, in a series of organ recitals in the Smetana Hall. 2002‐2003 resident organist at Sapporo Concert Hall, recitals at Suntory Hall, Yokohama Concert Hall, 2003‐2011 titular organist at Saint Martin des Champs in Paris, since 2008 teaching improvisation in San Sebastian, Spain, since 2015 Madrid, since 2020 professor in Copenhagen. We are simply lucky that on Lazarus Saturday 2025 she will stop for the first time in Prague to open the Holy Week with her improvisations.
