In this highly‐anticipated concert, hear the mellifluous sounds of Love Songs by Franz Schubert, Richard Strauss, Richard Wagner, Franz Liszt and Hugo Wolf at Vienna's treasured and crypt of the Peterskirche.

Love and dreams are deeply rooted in the song and touch the depths.
The Austrian soprano Maria Kahry conveys a touching picture of love with deep feeling and her warm soprano. Although she usually shines in big roles like 'Tosca' or 'Norma', the popular artist shows here a very personal side in an intimate setting in the crypt.

She is accompanied on the piano by Hans‐Jörg Gaugelhofer, whose sensitive playing ideally complements the performance. Together they offer a song recital in a class of its own.

The song recitals and opera performances in Austria's smallest theater venue are distinguished by their high quality and the unusual venue. Located deep beneath St. Peter's Church in Vienna, the crypt allows for a personal and unforgettable classical music experience. At any time of the year, the temperature in the crypt is pleasant.
