Edifício Sede
Lisbon, Portugal
The first contemporary building in Portugal to be recognised as a national heritage site, the Sede building is an astonishing, multi‐use structure. Envisaged by its architects as a cultural complex, the concrete building was deliberately designed to encourage audiences to flow freely from auditoriums to exhibition halls.
Situated within the cultural oasis of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in the heart of Lisbon, the Edificio Sede is one of the city's most important cultural destinations.
