La Capella Reial de Catalunya, Le Concert des Nations, Jordi Savall: Great Performers at Bologna Festival
About the Event
Enjoy great performers at Bologna Festival.
Jordi Savall is one of the most interesting and original musical personalities of our time, instrumentalist and conductor, creator of musical projects that enhance the most ancient repertoires and the most diverse cultures, recreating sound universes of exciting beauty. For this programme, he chooses three of the infinite musical intonations of Jacopone da Todi's Stabat Mater: the disarming, extremely pure version composed by Marc‐Antoine Charpentier in 1680, the more complex and elaborate one, intended for ten real parts, created by Domenico Scarlatti between 1715 and 1719 and finally the mournful Stabat by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi.
