Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra at Philharmonie Berlin
Berlin, Philharmonie Berlin — Grosser Saal
About the Event
An outstanding artist arrangement for a special concert evening: Ivo Pogorelich honors the Berliners with a guest performance of his innovative keyboard magic.
The legendary Croatian piano virtuoso, who has been named a UNESCO Special Ambassador, has already been dubbed an enfant terrible, genius and pop star during his unique career. Especially at the beginning of his brilliant stage success, his groundbreakingly unconventional playing, coupled with his charismatic charisma, evoked all kinds of reactions — but not indifference. His outstanding art of interpretation and playful intensity, focused on a reduced, dense work, have left their mark on the art of piano playing.
Together with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, he devotes himself to Sergei Rachmaninov's Second Piano Concerto in the Philharmonie. The evening will be conducted by violinist and violist Julian Rachlin. The Austrian multi‐talent of Lithuanian origin is increasingly appearing as a conductor and enjoys international recognition.
