About the Event

Jan Vogler's remarkable career has brought him together with renowned conductors and internationally renowned orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Deutsches Symphonie‐Orchester Berlin and London Philharmonic Orchestra.
The New York Times admired the “lyrical flair” of his cello playing, Gramophone magazine praised his “dizzying virtuosity”, and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung attested to his ability to “let his cello speak like a singing voice”.
The name of the German cellist, who lives in New York, is associated with his legendary interpretations of Johann Sebastian Bach's famous six solo cello suites. In the Chamber Music Hall of the Philharmonie Berlin, the audience will have the opportunity to hear all six works in one concert and thus follow the fascinating dialog between Jan Vogler's Stradivarius cello and Bach's sonorous universe.
