About the Event

Human relationships are the abstract idea behind this concert programme: like the lively «Concert Românesc» by Ligeti, which puts spirited folk dances from Romania on the concert stage, and the musical collaboration between violin virtuoso Isabelle van Keulen and the Tonkünstler under Hugh Wolff.

The final part of the evening presents the dramatic symphony «Roméo et Juliette», telling the story about the most famous couple of all times. Berlioz set the dramatic story to music with his wonderful talent, thereby creating a moving music painting.
