About the Event

A wonderful and epic concert of film soundtracks with Orchestre Pasdeloup in the prestigious Philharmonie de Paris.

The concert opens with the famous 20th Century Fox fanfare, composed in 1933 by Alfred Newman.
A ringtone for an entire era, it ushers in the golden age of cinema.
This concert is also an opportunity to (re)discover the Warsaw Concerto, which played a key role in Brian Desmond Hurst's war film Dangerous Moonlight (1941).


What film music concert without John Williams and Michel Legrand? The concertino for piano and orchestra from the film Yentl, co‐written, co‐produced and directed by Barbra Streisand, is followed by two of the most famous themes, from Harry Potter and Stop Me If You Can.

Teaming up with soloists Suzana Bartal on piano and Adrien Lajoumard on saxophone, and under the direction of Belgian conductor Dirk Brossé, the Orchestre Pasdeloup will also pay tribute to the music of films that were essential to a whole generation, such as Taxi Driver, Back to the Future and others.
