Guy Braunstein loves Tchaikovsky, and tonight he’ll play the composer’s beloved Violin Concerto with the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra. You’ll also hear Berlioz’s mad infatuation with an English actress, set to some wild music in his Symphonie fantastique.

Violinist Guy Braunstein was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. He studied the violin under the guidance of Chaim Taub and later in New York with Glenn Dicterow and Pinchas Zuckerman.

Performing publicly from a very young age, Mr. Braunstein has participated in chamber music and solo concerts with the top artists and orchestras of his day. In 2000, at the age of 28 years, he became the youngest person to be appointed concertmaster of the world famous Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, a position which heralded his debut as an orchestral member and which he currently retains in addition to his solo career.
