Grafenegg Festival: hr‐Sinfonieorchester, Alain Altinoglu
About the Event
"Mozart's vocal compositions were meticulously crafted to suit each individual singer, much like a perfectly tailored dress. The accomplished soprano Hanna‐Elisabeth Müller rises to the challenge, embodying the iconic roles of Mozart's heroines, including the passionate and fierce Elettra from 'Idomeneo.' After the intermission, the hr‐Sinfonieorchester, led by Alain Altinoglu, takes us on a journey from mythology to the enchanting world of fairy tales. Nikolai Rimsky‐Korsakov's 'Scheherazade' brings the tales of the Thousand and One Nights to life in a mesmerizing symphony, with the concertmaster's violin serving as the clever narrator Scheherazade, skillfully calming the wrath of the sultan."
