Freedom for Delius Weekend Pass: Ealing Autumn Festival

About the Event

The Freedom for Delius Pass is a great option; allowing entry to all events from 12th October to 14th October and a free Souvenir Programme for the entire Festival. This includes 4 concerts, exhibition, 2 talks, 3 films and a guided walk to the house where Delius lived.

The third Ealing Autumn Festival, Delius and Dickens, celebrates two anniversaries originating in the UK: the 150th anniversary of the birth of composer Delius and the 200th anniversary of the birth of writer Charles Dickens. With an international flavour, yet still firmly rooted in its local community, the Ealing Autumn Festival will be presenting a fascinating mix of music, literature, visual art, film and family friendly events as a means of exploring their life, work, inspiration and legacy.

Friday 12th October:
8 pm Celebrity Recital
Julian Lloyd Webber (cello) & Pam Chowhan (piano)
Programme: Works by Bach, Bridge, Britten, Fauré, Saint Saëns, Delius, William Lloyd Webber, Rachmaninov

Saturday 13th October:
9.50am Guided Walk 'Delius in Hanwell'
12.30pm Talk and Guided Viewing of Delius Exhibition
2.00pm Violin & Piano Music
Maté Racz (violin) & Gillian Spragg (piano)
Programme: Works by Delius and a short selection of Hungarian favourites for violin.
The Bridge Quartet (String Quartets)
Programme: Works by O'Neill, Delius, Grainger
4.30pm Film: Delius Biopic 'Song of Summer'
7.30pm Orchestral Concert (West London Sinfonia)
Programme: Works by Delius and Walton

Sunday 14th October:
