Dresdner Musikfestspiele: Piano recital Mao Fujita
Dresden, Palais im Großen Garten — Main Hall
About the Event
Experience an enchanting piano performance by Mao Fujita, featuring compositions by Alexander Scriabin and Frédéric Chopin.
Acclaimed as "the ruler of the piano" (La Provence) and "a miracle of articulation" (NDR Kultur), the prodigious Mao Fujita is a familiar presence on major global stages. Born in Tokyo in 1998, he began his piano journey at three. His education progressed at a local conservatory before advancing under Kirill Gerstein's mentorship in Berlin, where he now resides. Following a spectacular silver win at the 2019 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, he has continually triumphed, appearing with leading international orchestras and at renowned festivals. Fujita will showcase his interpretative depth and impressive technique with the 24 Préludes by Alexander Scriabin and Frédéric Chopin (from his latest album) – a pair of emotionally rich and contrastingly dynamic collections – set against the romantic backdrop of the palace in the Great Garden.
