Dresdner Musikfestspiele: Music festival meets circus theater
Dresden, Zirkuszelt am Elbufer
About the Event
A vibrant fusion of circus and music with artists from various disciplines creating a breathtaking spectacle. Magical moments arise when the Dresden Music Festival meets circus theater. Under the dome of the big top on the banks of the Elbe, first‐class classical and jazz musicians enter into a unique dialogue with contemporary circus artists. This encounter gives rise to something new, unprecedented, and unique to these performances. And anything is possible in this blind date: observation, approach, fusion, a dynamic back‐and‐forth, a dance around an invisible center or turbulent entanglements. The special magic lies in the moment, in the spontaneous interplay of sounds and circus arts. The audience, whether they are music lovers or circus fans, can look forward to exciting discoveries to marvel at and enjoy, leaving the daily grind behind for a few moments of magic.
