Teatro dell'Opera di Roma

Nestled in the heart of Rome, the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma stands as a landmark destination for opera enthusiasts. Constructed in a swift 18 months, its doors opened in 1880 with Rossini's Semiramide marking the grand inauguration. The opera house boasts exceptional acoustics; its design mimics a 'resonance chamber,' ensuring optimal sound quality for an enveloping auditory experience. The architectural design was conceived by Sfondrini in an elegant horseshoe configuration, while Annibale Brugnoli's exquisite frescoes grace the dome. Inside, the main auditorium features three levels of boxes, two additional galleries, and an amphitheater, collectively accommodating 2,212 spectators.
