Couleur Vocale: Les Dames Vocales
Amsterdam, De Waalse Kerk
About the Event
Les Dames Vocales, founded in 2020, opens this anniversary year with a passion concert. Central to this concert will be the specially arranged interpretation of Franz Liszt's Via Crucis. This universally beloved work for the Passion period will sound in a surprising version for women's choir and bajan, a further development of the accordion. With the young talented bajanist Robbrecht van Cauwenberghe, Les Dames Vocales has once again found an exceptional accompanist.
Les Dames Vocales is an Amsterdam project ensemble for female voices. The singers are all experienced and often already sing in mixed choirs or other ensembles. But the love for the beautiful repertoire and the special vocal sound peculiar to the combination of high voices brings these musicians together in this challenging ensemble. In a relatively short time we work to the highest possible level. The ensemble has a broad taste: basically all classical repertoire suitable for our composition, starting from early medieval music to contemporary.
