Contre le Temps
Amsterdam, De Waalse Kerk
About the Event
It will be a unique radio play, this visit to the twelfth and thirteenth century composers of Notre Dame. Their groundbreaking music remains shrouded in mystery. How fast was the singing? How much was improvised? With medieval polyphony and Gregorian melodies, Contre le Temps, composed of four alumni of the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, shares their creative quest for a possible past.
