Classic in the Crypt: The Queen of the Night — the magic of coloratura
Vienna, Peterskirche — Krypta
About the Event
The internationally highly decorated soprano Nicola Proksch offers bel canto at the highest level and knows how to entertain her audience in the best possible way.
In her signature role as the Queen of the Night, she has been celebrated at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin and the Volksoper in Vienna. She shone internationally as Gilda in Verdi's “Rigoletto” and Micaela in Bizet's “Carmen”. For her debut as Amina in Bellini's “La Sonnambula”, she was named “Discovery of the Year” by critics.
Established as Austria's smallest theater, the song recitals and opera performances impress with their high quality and unusual venue. Located deep beneath St. Peter's Church in Vienna, the crypt offers personal, intense classical music experiences.
The KRYPTA is pleasantly temperate at any time of year.
