Classic in the Crypt: Mozart, Schubert, Liszt & Chopin Piano concerto
Vienna, Peterskirche — Krypta
About the Event
The Italian pianist and organist Mario Eritreo is one of Europe's most sought‐after pianists. In 2016, he played the complete cycle of J.S. Bach's sixth organ sonatas at St. Peter's Church in Vienna, a feat only achieved by three other artists to date.
Mario Eritreo plays with the most renowned orchestras in Europe and is particularly in demand for his keen sense of the compositions. A master of his craft, he feels just as comfortable in large halls as he does in the intimate circle of crypt concerts.
The KLASSIK performances in the KRYPTA are renowned for their proximity to the audience and the outstanding acoustics of the historic hall. The popular cultural events attract classical music lovers from all over the world.
The KRYPTA is pleasantly temperate at any time of year.
