About the Event

The artists, who specialize in baroque music, will take you on a journey through the diverse soundscapes of the Slavic baroque. Works by composers such as Marcin Milczewski, Bohuslav Matej Černohorsky and others, who drew their inspiration from the rich musical tradition of Eastern Europe, are the focus of the evening.
The music will be played on an authentic harpsichord, the keyboard instrument that played a central role in the Baroque era. The fascinating sound of this instrument offers incomparable depth of sound and fills the room with an atmosphere that brings the Baroque period to life.
Established as Austria's smallest opera house and concert hall, the performances in the KRYPTA captivate with their intensity, high quality and unusual venue. Located deep beneath St. Peter's Church in Vienna, the intimate hall offers a personal experience that attracts guests from all over the world.
The KRYPTA is pleasantly tempered at any time of year.
