Les Arts Florissants & William Christie
Valencia, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia — Sala Principal
About the Event
William Christie and his original instrument ensemble, Les Arts Florissants, visit the Palau de les Arts for the fourth time as part of their European tour celebrating William Christie’s 80th birthday. Those lucky enough to attend their previous concerts at Les Arts will still remember their magnificent versions of La finta giardiniera, Partenope and The Fairy Queen. To celebrate this anniversary, Christie has assembled for this concert the best voices that have passed through his Baroque singing academy, Le Jardin des Voix, to perform a selection from operas by Handel and Rameau.
Excerpts from Ariodante, Semele, Les Indes Galantes, L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato
