Today, the Windsbacher Knabenchor ranks among the top boys' choirs. Musically, the focus is on sacred music, with a repertoire ranging from Renaissance to modern.

In Berlin's Konzerthaus, the Windsbacher Knabenchor will present a contemplative program of well‐known and unknown Christmas carols in exciting arrangements from old and new times. The touching 'Advent Kyrie,' classical songs by Brahms and Bach, gospel and international melodies are all part of the program, as is 'Silent Night' at the end of the concert.

Founded in 1946 by Hans Thamm, the Windsbacher Knabenchor was led to national and international recognition over three decades by his successor Karl‐Friedrich Beringer. From 2012 to 2022, Martin Lehmann shaped the ensemble's distinctive sound as artistic director. Since September 2022, Ludwig Böhme of Leipzig has led the boys' choir.

Renowned orchestras such as the Deutsches Symphonie‐Orchester Berlin or the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin (Akamus) enjoy working with the choir. Numerous CD productions as well as radio and television appearances have convinced music critics and audiences alike.

Invitations to important festivals such as the Rheingau Music Festival as well as regular appearances in German and European music centers underline the importance of the boys' choir in national and international musical life. Concert tours have taken the singers to other European countries as well as to Asia, North and South America, Israel, Australia and the Vatican.

His first season with the Windsbacher Knabenchor takes Ludwig Böhme to Spain. There, the Christmas Oratorio by J.S. Bach will be performed in Seville, Madrid and Barcelona, among other cities. In addition to many a cappella concerts, the St. John Passion will be performed in Breslau and Nuremberg in the spring/summer of 2023, as well as at the Rheingau Music Festival and the Bachwoche Ansbach.
