About the Event

Franz Lehár's operetta "Das Fürstenkind" (Maids of Athens) will be performed in a concert version at the Musikalische Komödie in Leipzig.

Princess Photini, the daughter of the Greek Prince of Parmes, has fallen in love with the American officer, Bill Harris. She comes from a good family, however is unaware that her own father leads a clandestine life as an infamous thief named Hadschi Stavros, a man who has terrified the inhabitants of Athens. Officer Harris bets that he can put a stop to the thief's game…
