László Fenyö and Friends in Budapest

About the Event

A chance to hear one of the world's most exciting cellists — winner of the 2004 International Pablo Casals Cello Competition — with handpicked chamber music partners.

The programme features works by Hungarian composers Kodály, Dohnányi and Bartók, and culminates with a Brahms' piano quartet in G minor, whose Hungarian‐flavoured finale always makes for a triumphant performance.

A former student of the Gnessin Special School in Moscow, Eduard Kunz won no less than 13 international competitions between 2000 and 2010. He has performed with almost all the great orchestras in the UK and played the cream of Europe’s venues. The Norwegian Vilde Frang was not yet 20 years old when Mariss Jansons invited her to perform as a soloist. Since September 2011, Máté Szűcs has been first principal viola of one of the greatest orchestras of all time, namely the Berlin Philharmonic.
