Blechschaden at Festspielhaus Baden‐Baden
About the Event
Founded over 30 years ago, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra's brass ensemble, known as 'Blechschaden', is renowned for their exceptional talent. While Bavaria is widely recognized as a hub for virtuoso brass musicians, it was actually a Scottish horn player named Bob Ross who first conceived of the group. Ross drew inspiration from popular ensembles such as Philip Jones' and the Canadian Brass, who introduced a groundbreaking addition to the grand brass tradition: humor. This innovative approach captivated audiences and left a lasting impact on the genre.
