Original Sound of Music Tour from Salzburg
Follow the traces of the Trapp Family, world‐famous from the movie "The Sound of Music" by Rodgers and Hammerstein premiering in 1959 and discover the original filming locations.The first stop of the tour will be Mirabell Gardens, where the song "Do‐Re‐Mi" was filmed. Then you'll continue to Leopoldskron Palace, where you can enjoy the spectacular view on Lake Leopoldkron. At the gardens of Hellbrunn Palace you can visit the Gazebo, rebuilt for all movie fans. Your next stop is the Nonnberg Abbey, which is also nowadays an active women’s convent. As the Abbey does not allow visits within the walls, you can walk up the front gate of the Gothic Church. Then you'll head to the Lake District Area with incredible views and photo opportunities. At the Mondsee you can see the famous church, where the wedding scene was filmed. Afterwards you have some time to explore the picturesque town on your own before the bus brings you back to Salzburg.
